Mo Run Restoration

During 2009, 2010 and 2011 Maitland has been supervising the restoration od 'Mo Run'; a traditionally built canoe sterned Scottish built MFV. Originally built on a beach in the north of Scotland she is a fine example of traditional craftsmanship, built of Larch planks on Oak frames. The extensive restoration includes steam bent oak new frames throughout the working deck, several local sections of new hull planking, replacement of the majority of plank fastenings and a new engine! Keep an eye on the gallery to see the work progress.
