Growth Potential in New Zealand
Neil recently spent time with "The Future Institute" in San Francisco and will share his insights and learnings with us on what the ‘future’ may hold.
Neil will build his discussion around the Retail Sector and the challenges and opportunities that new media channels present. These issues are highly relevant to many other New Zealand sectors, and with Retail at the forefront of change his observations should be highly useful to advisors and business leaders alike.
Neil brings an enthusiastic passion for business and clear understanding of what’s important in making a business successful.
About Neil Cowie
Neil has a wealth of hard-earned experience to build his views upon. He came up through the ranks of retailing and was GM Operations at The Warehouse during its heyday in the 1990s. He went on to work with Woolworth's Australia and was CEO of Michel's Group Australia before joining Pumpkin Patch as Chief Operating Officer in 2008. Since Neil's appointment to the CEO role in August 2011 he has led the winding up of their US and UK Retail ventures and embarked upon a Change Strategy designed to rejuvenate the Pumpkin Patch brand.
International Consultants Day
The first proposal for an International Consultants Day was made in 1999 by Shanker Gopalkrishnan, the Trustee for IMC India. India pioneered the celebration of the day and subsequently more countries have been involved; International Consultants Day is now an established date in many member institutes’ diary of events.
